  Thanks Carla, I'm quite busy today, and tried to do a quick search - but I see you're on it - thanks
  I think you're right about other things as well.
  
  It doesn't matter what the WT says - their claims of being THE org etc. Their false prophecy record and other deceptions puts them in a different group.
  
  So back to what the Paul said to Timothy.... the living God, who is the Saviour of ALL men, especially believers.
  
  Scout said: ...would result in god denying salvation to that person, so JWs believe that rejection of what they consider to be the true religion, would result in god denying that person salvation.
  
  What part of ALL men is not ALL MEN?
  
  How does the WT get away with deciding who will be saved, by what means, what God thinks, what God should or should not do, judging others, judging themselves as worthy?
  WT = God, members stick up for God = members stick up for WT
  
  Since I've never been a member of the WT group, I don't have any lingering loyalties. The minute false prophecies or other lies are evident their credibility is no longer a concern. (Deut don't be afraid of FPs verse)

  Using one line in timothy to back up a WT statement is 1/2 my problem with WT utterances.
  
  Begin the 4th chapter of 1Timothy, by the time you get to verse 16 it is evident that the spirit is moving within -
  not someplace in New York state.
  .....
  3 men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the Truth.
  4 For everything created by god is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude; (blood to save a life?)
  6 good servant of Christ Jesus....
  10 fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Saviour of ALL men, especially of believers.

  Big Love: Polygamy Loves Company

  it's a new hbo series on sundays at 10 pm.

  it's about a mormon offshoot group, complete with a commune, child brides, and polygamy.

  I don't get HBO.
  but last night....
  A&E did a 2hour spot on Polygamy. If I were a JW I'd be thinking hmmmmmmm when the marks of a cult were mentioned.
  And they didn't just list them - they gave the examples. Big hmmmmmm s
  
  There has been quite a few stories in the last five years - I think the public is waking up??? and might stand behind people who are trying to help these young kids - without having to work around this "freedom of religion thing". Abuse is a CRIME no matter where or by whom.
  
  Wonder which one is next to be exposed???

  here are my notes from the biannual co visit.

  the notes are from the co meeting with elders & ms 2006 service year outline.

  the topics from wts are sense of urgency, higher education, independent thinking, marital arrg, invalid baptisms.. sense of urgency - concern among fds that some are losing their urgency, they don't believe we're in the last days.

  This approach sounds like "just what the cult doctor ordered". Tighten the reins!
  
  Speed up the process - the now educated, critical, independent thinkers, who have even a lick of bible knowledge
  will be forced to see the control freeks for what they really are - much sooner than later.
  
  Its not like the early years - where they controlled all the information - things moved much slower then.
  
  Yes, they sure have made a name for themselves!

  Gumby: are they just giving the R&F possible replies to questions about their false prophecies?
  
  I just cringe when I hear the word for word responses, canned answers with follow-up questions to divert the topic..... "Do you trust your doctor?"

  actually I tried to make the first sentence a quote. MAC is limited (acutally the formating is non-existant) and I tried to use symbols. I know better now.

  Elders accuse us of Mail Fraud

  well the sh*t has finally hit the fan now.

  it seems that several families in the neillsville / marshfield area have received packages with apostatetm material enclosed.

  at the service meeting last thursday night in two (count them) two congregations the elders have announced that a mail fraud scheme is in the area with packages arriving at publishers homes.
